Born in Brooklyn, rasied in New Jersey; how many times have you heard that? Anyhow, I was very fortunate to study acting at Mason Gross School of the Arts. This school produced such actors as Calista Flockhart, Kristen Davis, Roger Bart and Kevin Chamberlin.
After graduation I went to explore Los Angeles. While in LA, I saw a Groundlings Production and heard they were also in NYC. Upon my return to the Big Apple, I studied with the Groundling and completed their training program.
I have done improv comedy in NY, LA and directed in Minneapolis. I stepped away from theater to concentrate on my family life, but now that I have moved to VT, I once again have the opportunity to return to an art form that I love.
Improvisational comedy is an energetic art form that will cause you to think on your feet, break through your comfort zones and make you do things that normally would only happen at karaoke bar (in Vegas). This form of comedy is a discipline, and as in any art form there are certain rules. These classes will teach the structure of improvisation. After a student understands and can embrace the rules, free form and fun can begin.
This type of preformance will prepare you to learn to adapt to many different life situations.

Although I stepped away from the stage, I found that my improvisational
training enabled me to be very successful in my business career.
Suffering through the trials and tribulations of performing live
improvisational comedy, sitting in front of an employer selling myself
seemed easy.
